Liverpool defender Stephen Wright has been told that he has sustained ligament damage after injuring his ankle while playing for the reserves.

A club statement reads: "This is very disappointing news for Stephen and everyone at the club wishes him well in his bid to make a speedy recovery."
Wright has been unhappy since he was dropped back into the reserves following the signing of Abel Xavier.
