The July 2000 pup was accepted into the Fossway Puppy Stakes and didn't let down his followers after securing victory and a tasty cheque for his kennel.
Although not fully fit after recovering from a groin injury, Sam was again fully in control and led all the way to the cheers of his supporters.
It has been suggested that the Canine kopite be sold on due the interest he has sustained but there's no chance of that happening as some Manc might buy him and put him down!
Now he we have to decide if he should have a short break or if we should take him around the country, possibly with Nottingham on the agenda.
