The High Court have announced that Middlesbrough are to sue Liverpool for £7million in lost revenue due to the controversial Ziege transfer.
Liverpool have already been fined £20,000, and Ziege £10,000 after a Premier League inquiry found they had breached poaching rules.
David Phillips QC, representing Middlesbrough, claims that Liverpool exploited confidential knowledge of Ziege's Boro contract.
Liverpool expected the action.
