Kanoute confirms Liverpool contact

West Ham striker Frederic Kanoute says he believes Liverpool are "interested" in signing him.

It's been well documented on this site that the boss has turned to Kanoute while Anelka is made to wait to see what is happening as regards his future.

"It's true, I had contact," said the Hammers striker. "Liverpool sound interested and I am too, even though I'm happy at West Ham and still have a two-year contract. But Liverpool are a club who regularly play for top places."
