Leeds preparing to transfer list Bowyer

Leeds United are believed to be on the verge of transfer listing contract rebel Lee Bowyer after he rejected another contract offer believed to worth around £40,000 per week.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale said earlier in the week that an agreement was imminent and that a formal announcement would be made within 48 hours of those comments - that announcement never came and no deal has been struck as yet.

Liverpool are closely monitoring developments and should he be transfer listed, expect a formal bid from Gerard Houllier.
