Murphy signs new contract

Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has signed a new 5-year contract with the club.

"I always said I would sign a new deal and we were just waiting for the season to be out of the way before sorting things out," said Super Dan.

"Liverpool is a great club and everyone can see the team is going places.

"I desperately want to be part of that and I've learned so much from the manager and the rest of the staff. They've taken me a long way.

"When there was talk of a new contract there was no hesitation from me."
